Portrait

This tutorial was written for those
who have a working knowledge of PSP.

Supplies Needed:
PSP XI (any version will work)

image of your choice the image needs to have a focal point
I am useing the stunning art of Alan Ayers you can see more of his awesome work
A mask of your choice I am useing one of the many great masks by Gabee

there is a tubeing element to this tutorial but I am only going to give you the basic settings so some tubeing experiance would be a help to you unless you know some place that might tube it for you.
the best place I know of for this is The Zone Groups.

Ok let's get started.
Open your choosen image goto layers and click promote background layer
again goto layers this time duplicate layer

Now in your layer pallett close off the bottom layer we don't need that layer just yet.
Now working on the top layer select your free hand selection tool with the following settings.

now choose the section of your image that you want to stand out on your finished tag.
zoom in on the image so you can see what you are doing now go around the image a click at a time until you are all the way around your section that you want.

goto selections invert selection and hit delete.

now unhide your bottom layer goto layers load save mask / load from disc
choose the mask you want to choose and apply to the layer
layers merge group

now again on your top layer remove any extra bits of the image you dont need I did this by again useing the free hand selection tool with a high feather factor to make the edge soft.

layers merge visable
add a light drop shadow

If your tag is to big remember resize before you add your credits.
