This tutorial was written for those
who have a working knowledge of PSP.

Supplies Needed:
PSP XI (any version will work)
Animation Shop
filters unlimited 2.0 A Demo can be found HERE
*If you want your movie to look like a black and white move you don't need Filters Unlimited*

Image of your choice
I am useing one of my own photo's feel free to use it or any of my other Photo's that can be found HERE
but if you do please include,
©isischylde http://isischylde.deviantart.com or if used with other art, stock by isischylde
If you want to put your movie effect on tv you will need one of them aswell,
the one I am useing is from http://www.sxc.hu

This is not really a tag tutorial this is just so you get the basic idea of how to add Movie Effect to an image.
Open the image you are going to use in your psp
promote your image to a layer
Ok now goto image and grayscale then image again and increase colour depth to 16bit see below
Next go to adjust add and remove noise with the following settings.

Your image should now look something like this:
Ok we need to play around with the brightness levels
so goto

Now lets make it look old and not just dull goto Effects and filters unlimited 2.0 with the following settings

Here's what we have so far

It looks a little rough, so goto adjust image> blur> blur
now get your picture of a tv
and select around the screen area
go back to your picture and goto edit > copy
Now back to your tv and edit>paste as new layer
move it around until you get the part you want within your selection
now selections>invert>Delete
Select None
now goto edit and copy
Now we move over to Animation Shop
right cick and paste as new image
Now goto effects insert image effect
Now if your image doesnt have enough scratches for you go to edit > select all then effects and Apply image effect to add extra scratches
now to add it to your tv
In psp merge your tv and picture layer
then goto edit > copy now back to Animation Shop
right click paste as new image
now right click and duplicated selected frame do this until you have 32 frames
now goto edit and select all
make sure that this icon is selected it can be found on the top of your work space
Then edit paste into selected frames
move it around until it is in line with your tv
All that is left to do is add your © Info & name and if you don't know how to add text to an animation have a look
and now save
and there you go a picture turned into an old movie.

Portrait

This tutorial was written for those
who have a working knowledge of PSP.

Supplies Needed:
PSP XI (any version will work)

image of your choice the image needs to have a focal point
I am useing the stunning art of Alan Ayers you can see more of his awesome work
A mask of your choice I am useing one of the many great masks by Gabee

there is a tubeing element to this tutorial but I am only going to give you the basic settings so some tubeing experiance would be a help to you unless you know some place that might tube it for you.
the best place I know of for this is The Zone Groups.

Ok let's get started.
Open your choosen image goto layers and click promote background layer
again goto layers this time duplicate layer

Now in your layer pallett close off the bottom layer we don't need that layer just yet.
Now working on the top layer select your free hand selection tool with the following settings.

now choose the section of your image that you want to stand out on your finished tag.
zoom in on the image so you can see what you are doing now go around the image a click at a time until you are all the way around your section that you want.

goto selections invert selection and hit delete.

now unhide your bottom layer goto layers load save mask / load from disc
choose the mask you want to choose and apply to the layer
layers merge group

now again on your top layer remove any extra bits of the image you dont need I did this by again useing the free hand selection tool with a high feather factor to make the edge soft.

layers merge visable
add a light drop shadow

If your tag is to big remember resize before you add your credits.
